We had a set and wanted to extend the light around the corner. Very durable rubber cord and sockets. It's in there. They emit a beautiful soft yellow light that is bright enough for walking at night. We added two more, but one of the connectors is shorted. I checked the connections, replaced the lightbulb with a working one. Finally I bent the cord where it attaches to the outlet and the lightbulb lit up. When I let go of the cable, the light goes out. Not that it's a deal breaker, but we're not as happy as we were with the original set.
