I had high hopes for this PSU as it sounds great on paper. 750W, 80+ Platinum, Fan noise from 0dB to 250W. What it doesn't tell you is that the fan doesn't spin after you turn it on. It runs at full speed until you turn off your computer completely. Who at Silverstone thought fans shouldn't slow down when work is over? This means that when I'm done with a game, I'll sit and listen to a fan hum at 2000 rpm until I turn off my computer. This is possibly the strangest oversight I've encountered in a high-end power supply. I'm pretty sure the fan is bad as the issues exist on both units I ordered. I will be returning this and discouraging anyone from buying this power supply until they fix this incredible oversight.
