Review on 🌊 Maximize Water Clarity and Health with the Marina I25 Internal Filter by Jeanette Lee

I rarely give a review, but for that it is MANDATORY to say that PROS - Very quiet, very smooth flow MINUS - Very smooth flow (maybe bad for some tanks?), Slightly high (fits my 5.5 g, but probably won't fit in a smaller aquarium) Finding filters for a betta is always difficult. The current is too strong for most, tearing off the fins at best, killing the rooster at worst. The bottom line is the need to burden the poor dwarf fish with frequent water changes and tank cleanings. My newest filter (a kind of sponge filter) was highly recommended and although my betta did quite well with it, it disturbed the water surface so much that my betta couldn't build a bubble nest and spent most of its time at the bottom. Tank. Alive but depressed. I tried another filter which was very loud (I don't mind loud noises so this wasn't a factor for me). However, it had no way of attaching itself to the side of the tank and so it was constantly floating around with a cheap and flimsy lid bouncing off. When I decided to buy a good filter for my Betta, I ordered this and left mine unfiltered until it arrived. First, the smart design: you have the choice to mount it on the side of the tank or attach it with suction cups. My gas cap doesn't take side mounts, so being able to use suction cups instead was a huge plus. The engine is very quiet; so quiet I couldn't hear it next to my 10g tank. But the flow of this filter? It's perfect for a Betta. My rooster is like an elephant's ear: big, flashy fins that make it difficult for him to swim against the current. The flow of this filter is gentle as you would expect in a pond. The water is filtered so fast that it can swim up to the filter and the filter doesn't drag it at all. He even installed a bubble nest! This makes it without a doubt the best filter for betta fish. I expect him to have a long and happy life because of this!
