I don't review very often at first but this product seems very well made; even better than the original that came with my Nuvi 8. First, the specs: The suction cup on the back measures approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. It's a bit larger than the original and seems to "suck deeper" when it closes, so the suction should be a bit stronger than the original window retainer, which should hold up better and make it easier, "well, that thwarted that again syndrome again. overall the device is also a bit bigger which means your device will probably stick out a little bit over the dash than before. I solved this problem by mounting this Arkon holder upside down. down on my window huh means I can move the suction cup further down the window towards the front of the car so the unit is now about the same spot as it was before. Works fine anyway. The ball joint on the end that mounts is a unit of about 17 mm. This equates to 0.6692 in decimal units, or just over 5/8" if you're using a standard tape measure. Check your stock mount you had before and compare them with a tape measure. If yours is about this diameter, it should snap onto your device and work fine. Long term use to comment on this but looking at the unit and the installation it seems very well made and should work for some time with no problems I can say at the moment. Edit: It's been about a month so far and he hasn't even offered to move. This block works very well for me with my specific block.
