Opted to upgrade from the original Air. The primary problem is not that the old iPad couldn't handle online browsing (it does just fine), but rather because I've had it since 2022 and the battery is no longer as good as it once was. Air is noticeably slower than 2022 when it comes to opening applications and displaying web information when compared side by side.
