Review on Garmin Premium Heart Monitor Strap by Justin Kedzior

Big!. for a month or for those who don't work more than an hour

This HRM has worked flawlessly with my 920XT for about a month. About a month later, as I resumed my long runs, which typically lasted between an hour and a half to two hours, I started noticing definite dips where my heart rate kept dropping no matter how hard I tried. I've noticed that it only started appearing after about an hour of training and recently earlier in training at about 40 minutes. From a lot of other research, reviews and forums, it seems to be related to the accumulation of sweat in the fabric of the strap. Regardless of washing, this problem will haunt the device and your data throughout the life of the product. Due to the poor design and short lifespan of this strap I would not recommend it to anyone and instead look for a different competitor brand product compatible with your device. Other solutions I've found online if you don't want to pay for a brand new HRM is to pair a Garmin transmitter with a Polar armband that the transmitter is attached to. Another solution is to simply acquire a brand new HRM.
