This is an exact replacement for the Kenmore hood I had in my home 15 years ago. Obviously they are made in the same factory as they are identical in every way. This made it very easy to swap it out in 15 minutes. I switched from white to stainless steel and it helped me match our new stove. Many reviews mention that the fan is noisy and the lightweight cover is unappealing. This isn't a high-end range hood for chefs - it's just a range hood for middle-class people who want a basic range hood. I'm 6ft tall and can't see my lightbulb cover when I'm in front of it. When I was smaller I could see the plastic bulb cover, but that didn't bother me. The fan sounds like a standard cheap fan so it's not very quiet, but I don't mind for a nice hood at this price point. If you hear the fan running, someone is cooking. That is a good thing!
