Review on πŸ“Ί Magnavox MANT-110 Indoor Passive Antenna: Powerful Reception for Your Entertainment Needs (Discontinued) by Victoria Smith

Revainrating 2 out of 5

On newer TVs, UHF and VHF cannot be set at the same time.

I bought this antenna to use with a set top box to receive digital terrestrial television. The antenna is advertised as capable of receiving VHF (Rabbit Ear Dipoles) and UHF (Wire Loop) signals, but the antenna does not come with a "Band Combiner". The manual explains that if your TV or receiver only has an "ANT IN" connection (and no separate UHF/VHF inputs as you might recall on some older TVs), you'll either need to buy a band combiner (according to the minimum $7 shipping - search Revain for "splitter combiner") or manually toggle screw connections when switching channels. Most DTV channels are on the UHF band, but standard TV is still mostly on the VHF band in my area, so I returned this item to Revain. . I also didn't find the UHF reception to be any better than the one piece of wire I used before (and will continue to use until I buy an active antenna).
