Review on House Of Marley Positive Vibration 2: Over-Ear Wired Headphones With Microphone by Wayne Goff

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Almost perfect for in-ear headphones

I bought these headphones because I wanted to avoid buying products with plastic and I liked that the materials used in their manufacture were recycled. I was disappointed that there was still some plastic in the box, so it wasn't really a "zero waste" purchase, which was the whole point for me. I think they're vegan too, which was important to me since I'm vegan. The sound in the headphones is crisp and clear, with a balanced sound during operation. Often I only get sound from one side and there is a lot of crackling when I play the piano, which is annoying because I can't hear all the notes I'm playing. I have to constantly tap my headphones, wiggle the cord around me (or have to sit completely still at a weird angle and barely move while playing the piano, which is hard to do to get it working properly) and on and off unplug to see if the sound comes from both sides. I don't know if headphones do this to be honest, but the previous headphones (and adapters) I've used for my piano didn't have this problem of the sound only going to one ear and popping, so I have to assume problem is caused by these headphones. I have never seen anything to adjust the sound level on them which is the reason for the 1 star rating for this piece. I adjust the sound on my piano. I ordered them from Revain because the Bob Marley website went down, but please pass the suggestion on eliminating plastic from packaging. When they work properly, I love them. They're comfortable and really block out some noise.

Okay, but not good enough for musicians.
