This card will NOT boot WinXP or Win10 20H2. On a test system it messed up the MBR and failed to boot Win10. The REPAIR function of a fresh Win10 installation provides BOOTREC /NT60 SYS, which fixed the problem manually. If the test disk is RAW, Win10 will not boot and destroy the MBR of the system disk. I connected the test drive to the SATA connectors on the board and then formatted it as a simple volume. a system drive connected to a SATA-II system board. This card does NOT increase speed. No one. Less than no. DiskInfo shows that the JMicron card is correctly identified as a SATA III device. A benchmark connected to a JMicron SATA III controller is much SLOWER than the same drive connected to a SATA II motherboard.
