We recently added a second bidet to our toilet and the base thickness increased the seat by about 7/16 of an inch meaning the existing bumpers were insufficient. Adding it solved the problem. The problem is that the seat now maintains a constant distance over the rim of the bowl and feels very stable. Love the fact that 6 bumpers were provided as well as a few extra stack spacers just in case a little more headroom is needed. (I didn't have to use them.) Also, I appreciate the fact that the portion of the bumper that makes contact with the bowl is made of a rubbery material rather than hard, smooth plastic. seat movement.
