Good deal for an old TV (not smart TV) And I've had trouble getting Dolby 5.1 out of my TV using a Fire Stick connected to the TV and optical out to the stereo was. (Tested all settings on TV for Dolby output; nothing) This extractor enabled my receiver to read true Dolby 5.1. Highly recommended. I reinstalled it as I should have checked. From the fire stick to the television, from the optics to the receiver; only read PCM 48. All connected again through the box; Dolby 5.1 works again. I connected the Fire Stick to the box and to the Sony 5.1 receiver via the optical output. Works great; even hits well from behind. There's also no video delay from audio! Exactly what I needed. 5 Stars.
