This product works well as described. For those experiencing laptops intermittently dimming or charging and then stopping and then starting again, please check the current being delivered by the charging tip/head. Each peak delivers a different current. That happened to me. When I started I was using the wrong head which didn't provide enough current to charge the battery so it kept charging the first few connections but after that the battery started charging and discharging until I disconnected and reconnected and fiddled with it several times to get a constant current. At first I thought I was using the right head when I looked at the manual, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't until I contacted their amazing support team and got a replacement that I looked at the back of the computer. If you're having trouble charging your computer, look at the battery or the back of your computer. It should tell you how much current is needed to charge the battery. Don't just look at the instructions. The best part is that even though I reported my error to customer service, I got to keep a new spare charger. So the product as a whole works great once I've used the right head and checked the current it takes to charge my computer. Because there may be several identical heads that fit into your computer's charging port but may not supply enough current to charge your computer or may supply too much current that could damage it.
