I've spent the better part of 2 years trying to relieve the pain in my legs caused by cycling too aggressively. I was looking for shoes that would help with metatarsalgia and this is what I have. It is caused by damage to the bones, tendons, or nerves in the metatarsal joints of the toes. I've tried arch insoles, even the specialist had a pair for me, they're in the trash. I bought shock absorbing shoes and sandals (although they work well in the summer). Metatarsal pads not working. Trust me, I've looked everywhere for solutions. Finally, my podiatrist recommended running shoes to try. I don't run because it will bring back my knee problems. He gave the Mizuno running shoe range a five. I just said I put them on and I can say they are perfectly designed to take the strain on my legs. So good that I decided to edit the review. Yes, they're expensive, but they'll outlive 3 pairs of sketchers. Heels are designed to absorb shock when running, but the real solution for me is that the sole stiffens from heel to arch and then flexes again from arch to toe. This stiffness distributes the impact so the toes don't take the impact. I can't say enough about how happy I am to have found these Way Sky shoes, I have a set of Mizuno golf clubs, now I want to see if the Mizuno golf shoes are as good as these shoes.
