Installed a Quicklift on a 2008 Tacoma TRD Double Cab. Installation took about 1.5 hours, took my time and followed the instructions. The instructions were almost perfect apart from the size of the cowl mount drill bit which should use 3/16 but that size didn't allow the rivets to go in, I started hammering the rivets in a bit but that made little difference. . My solution was to use 13/64-bit, which got the job done. I even used a 13/64 bit to open a hole in one of the brackets because the rivet didn't fit either. Overall the install was pretty easy aside from the bit size issue and trying to find a 2 3/8". Using a tape measure, measure at an angle to the edge of the hood. The hood now opens and actually leaves room for my fingers, to release the latch, whereas otherwise I would have to pull the hood out of the hood as it doesn't lift up after pushing the release lever in the cockpit.It also feels more secure and doesn't get in the way, unlike the standard bar that holds the hood up front supports.
