Nice value for the price

Working great so far, however the measurements is a bit off, I ordered 20" but when I measured it, from head to head it was actually closer to 21 inches, I actually bought it to replaces a shock, so i had to modify the bracket to suit, point to note the ball is a pain to get out from the shock head, if you are modifying it for a custom setup.

  • I did not need 2. Wish I only got 1. No need for the other so a waste of money

  • These gas shocks do not compress - completely frozen. Complete waste of money

I Was Impressed - my new review

I found an online calculator where I could enter the weight of the door and the dimensions and find the right size to order and about where on the door and frame to mount them. The door weighed 23 lbs at the handle and was about 30" tall. These are good sturdy struts and have worked smoothly and consistently since I installed them. Figuring it out wasn't as hard as I thought, and it was very satisfying to see it work.

Pretty good, needs improvement.

This is an amazing piece. My only issue is that the way they designed the brackets to attach to the strut means that there is a big bolt and screw in the way of where you need to attach the bracket to, in my case, the wood. So I had to drill a hole in the wood, which weakens it.

200# struts best in my review

The brackets included with the 200# struts were a little weak for the strength of the struts. After contacting the seller they took care of the problem and helped me out

Brackets not very strong

Poor installation instructions. Only a rough idea on how to adjust. Brackets bend and deform easily. Way to soft a metal. The piston part works fine.

Easy Installation, Strong, Well Made

Once I had a better understanding of how to install these (first time installer), everything was extremely easy. They work perfectly and are very sturdy. Highly recommended!

Can’t figure this out for the life of me

I have ordered 3 sets of these. I have mounted them so many times in so many different ways / angles that either they won’t hold the door open or they won’t close.This is the most frustrating project I’ve done in a long time.

Outstanding Customer Service

During our church remodel, the trap door access to the crawl space ended up under the altar. I decided that gas struts would ease access to the crawl space. I first ordered a pair that were too short. A second pair was too weak, the third set eventually were perfect. The "instructions" that come with the struts are useless. Basically trial and error. Works great, I would recommend

We bought these for a hatch in our boat that was very heavy to lift and installing these was a game changer! I wish we found these 8 years ago! Life saving as they now make lifting this hatch a breeze. I recommend buying this product and they worked great :)

Really great. for my opinion

Once I got the positioning right, these work great for my queen sized, 10" memory foam rv bed. In fact, when I didn't yet have them positioned correctly I thought I needed bigger ones and went ahead and bought the 200# ones. Those are WAY TOO STRONG! I couldn't even lower the bed! So, I went back to reinforcing the structure under my bed and took my time positioning these 100# ones and they are working great. Still not sure what I'll do with the 200# ones.
