During our church remodel, the trap door access to the crawl space ended up under the altar. I decided that gas struts would ease access to the crawl space. I first ordered a pair that were too short. A second pair was too weak, the third set eventually were perfect. The "instructions" that come with the struts are useless. Basically trial and error. After 3 sets of struts and 2 or 3 positions for each, I gave up and asked for help. DO THIS FIRST! I described my installation (including weight and size of door) within 30 minutes Vigor responded with detailed instructions of where to attach the struts. The door works perfectly, I am very satisfied with this product. The customer service is very responsive and top notch. I highly recommend Arana struts for your project.
