Review on 550Lbs Adjustable Squat Rack Stand, Barbell Rack, Bench Press Home Gym Weight Rack Stand By BangTong&Li by Jevon Sterling

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for casual weight training

I’m very happy with this rack. It’s sturdy and stable enough for my needs, though I have my doubts about how well it would handle the upper end of the 550-pound capacity it claims. Fortunately, I’m just doing basic strength training at home, and I’m relatively new to it. Unless I get actual superpowers I doubt I’ll ever be lifting more than 200 pounds, so this rack should be fine for my purposes. It’s not as solid as a cage-style rack or one that’s bolted into the floor, but it also costs a fraction of what those do and doesn’t take up a lot of space.I’m 5’5” so I wanted a rack with shorter settings available, and this one is perfect. I can do bench presses and squats with no problem. The expandable connecting bar between the posts does mean it’s best to take a step or two forward when doing squats so I won’t bump the bar on the way down, but that’s fine.It was relatively easy to assemble. I was able to do it alone, but a few steps would have been a little easier with a second pair of hands.Make sure to use both wrenches provided to hold and tighten the nuts and bolts from both sides where applicable! The instructions aren’t explicit about that, so if you don’t have a lot of experience assembling things like this, it might not be obvious to you.
