Replaced the existing chimeless mechanism in our Schoolhouse Regulator wall clock with this unit. Keeps the perfect time. Very happy with the automatic night mode. There were some problems with the pendulum being much further forward in this arrangement as the pendulum scratched the glass and the mechanism was placed as far back as possible. Glass removed and problem solved. (remove glass anyway to get more ringtone) Still wish it was a little louder. You may want to try a slightly larger speaker, or place the speaker outside of the cabinet where it's not visible. The sound is very authentic and it didn't take long to set up and coordinate calls.
