If I had to do something again, I would probably look for a round variant that would be much easier to install. They are probably designed for a 2mm thick case. So if you're installing on a piece of plywood, for example, there's quite a bit to do. Essentially you have to create two cutouts that line up very precisely, so it's very labor intensive. In my case I used a home made CNC to extend the connector from the back of the machine to the front for easier access. The connection is not very strong, so I have some doubts about the long-term connection of these. Unfortunately, there aren't many different quality levels for something like this. Again, if I had to repeat it, I'd look for something that could fit the hole, which would be a lot easier to install. Drilling a simple hole would take a few minutes, no more than an hour for a custom fit in something like a plywood box.
