These microphones are an incredible value. They are solidly made and work great. They have low inherent noise, low operating noise and good sensitivity. I tested it with microphones that were several times more expensive and found them to sound better: Compared to the Octava MK-012, the LyxPro SDPC-2 has significantly lower operating noise and excellent sound quality with all capsules. The fact that you have three capsules per mic is an amazingly handy feature for any production. The included case is well intentioned but of dubious value - as another reviewer noted, the pods tend to move around inside. Yes, you can put in extra foam to stabilize them, but honestly, if you really care, you should just put them in a more durable Pelican case. Of course, such a case will cost you more than microphones, but it's amazing that at this price point, they even come with *some* case. I had no trouble threading the primers, so YMMV, but overall I'd say they seem really well done.
