I bought it mainly as driving moccasins. Most driving shoes are little more than moccasins or slippers. I wanted something simple that I could wear to a meeting without feeling too casual. I wanted soft leather loafers with a snug fit and a driver's heel (most drivers meet this requirement). However, I also wanted a shoe with a more durable insole, a one-piece outsole, and a slightly raised heel (most riders don't have these extra features). These fryes were just what I needed. The shoes appear to be well made. They fit as expected. They're pretty comfortable. Granted, they're not as comfortable as some of the other driving slippers I've worn. But they are more versatile and suitable in a wider range of situations. In general I'm happy.
