I was also skeptical about the size of this bag. I mean sir. He's pretty small. Again, it only took me a few ml of urine to go to the vet. Could you use 2 bags? Of course, but it is not required. I poured this into a new cat box about 12" x 9" and it created a very thin layer on the floor. I leveled it as best I could and waited for the magic to kick in. When I checked the box the next morning there was a fair amount of urine on the edge of the cat box where the sand had all reflected. I could have used the collection tube and siphon that was in the bag but the vet already had them. I tipped the litter box slightly on the edge and easily removed the sample. I used a paper towel to soak up the residue before throwing it in a garbage bag.
