Seal rupture after opening and closing the valve several times will cause leakage and render it unusable. I've bought 3 of these in the last year. They work well for some valve opening and closing applications, but then leaks start to appear which only worsen and render it useless. Maybe I'm closing the valve too tight and crushing the gasket? When this item works it's really great because I'm using a Schrader valve and there is no leakage when the valve is opened to inflate the tire. The problem occurs with repeated daily use over several weeks and it seems that the seal with the opening and closing valve is failing. I've found that plastic breaks and this one is too unreliable to rely on and constantly being replaced, so I'll look for something more reliable.
