I DID NOT HANG MYSELF on my gutters for the gutter hanger. I was looking for a clip that would hold the lightbulb vertically. I studied many different clips before settling on this one. I chose this one because of a video on Amazon of a woman twisting it, locking it, and effortlessly adjusting the clip without damaging the plastic. But now I can say FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! She must have used a smaller Halo Clip than the C9 I bought and her house was probably over 70 degrees. Therefore, the orthosis was probably more flexible and easier to use. First, let me tell you a bit about myself: I'm a 30-year-old electrician (utility electrician). As such, I have excellent arm strength and am used to attaching various clamps and sockets to all types of wires at great heights, wearing rubber gloves and sleeves. I can tell you these clamps don't look like videos at all. At the end of the 1st pack (100 clips) two massive blisters formed on my index finger which I squeezed to close the clips. The C9 clips were also a bit too big for my C9 LED lights. But luckily my C9 bulbs have side clips that prevent them from slipping off. ALSO another downside is that the thickness of the clip made it very difficult to slide between the shingles. If you are buying these let me give you some advice: 1. Take your "12" CHANNELLOCK Plumbing Nut and Groove Pliers and work with GLOVES2. Then unravel all your fires on the floor3. Sit down down and start placing the Halo Holiday Lighting Clips by using the channel locks to close the clips (this saves your hands and improves the fit)4.PLACE ALL THE CLAMPS ON THE GROUND and make sure the flat part facing down (the part that slides under the pebbles) 5. Attach all light strands together or secure with zip ties 6. Start hanging Good luck, hope this helps you
