The aerator works wonders on most wines. I use it on every bottle. Every wine lover knows how to let the bottle breathe before drinking. You can wait an hour or so while you decant (basically leave it in a wide container) OR use this and drink the wine right away. This makes a cheap wine taste like a fairly expensive one and a young bottle tastes as if it has been aged for several years. This is a great investment considering how much you save by not buying more expensive bottles. The vacuum seal also works as expected. Stays red on the counter for a few days. Sometimes the wine really gets better after sitting for a while. And I really like that it comes with spare parts - several gaskets and hoses for the aerator.
