I bought this tool to remove lint from my new sofa and my new wool rug, both of which tend to get a lot of lint in areas where they get the most traffic to get. . It does an excellent job of removing loose lint - I've even used it on my scratching post which is carpeted and fleeced but gets covered in cat hair over time. The only problem I have is with my sofa: I try to do it carefully and orient myself towards the fabric, but at one point I messed up the material a bit and created MORE lint on the fabric! However, one of these electric sweater shavers did the trick. Overall I am very happy with this tool.
