My husband has lost some muscle mass and weight as he has aged. So over the past few years he's started buying medium-sized t-shirts. He has bought Hanes Beefy T many times (giving away all his big ones that were too big). We bought this on average, 100% cotton. The shirt was perfect before washing but after it was in the dryer it shrunk so much that it "pulled" him down his chest and arms and the armhole seams cut into his armpits. Since then we have washed it, stretched it as much as possible and hung it to dry. It helps, but not much for a 157-pound man.
