Review on πŸ’» ASUS Chromebit CS10: Portable Stick-Desktop PC with RockChip 3288-C, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB Storage, and Google Chrome OS by Duane Kaul

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like Asus CHROMEBIT more than ROKU/Chromecast/Fire TV

Budget streaming devices (Roku/Chromecast/Fire) suitable for those mostly using mainstream popular sites like Netflix, Hulu, Revain Prime Video etc . These devices are cheap limited special purpose computers with a proprietary operating system and proprietary extremely simple browser limited to the links/apps/channels they can serve. I've used ROKU and Chromecast, but had a few limitations that I didn't like. For example, you are limited to the links they have (so-called channels), but the browser (Chrome on Chromebit) is not limited to the sites/channels offered by Roku/Chromecast/Fire/Apple. However, a deciding factor in my switch to a Chromebit CS10 flash computer was the problems I had when I was looking at my mobile screen (which I used to surf the web and play videos) on my TV (some content). want to view or mirror/broadcast is restricted/censored/banned by streamers, some websites require authorization, sometimes devices/Roku/Chromecast/Fire/AppleTV are not compatible with mobile phones, sometimes content streaming slows down or even freezes). For just over $100 (Chromebit $86 and 2018 Rii i8X 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Mini Keyboard w/ Touch Bar $22), I have a computer with full display capabilities (and no limitations) that goes with my TV (HDMI) is connected and that I can control. no cables from the bed. I also don't have to connect my laptop to my TV (via HDMI) every time I want to play a website. In addition, all the settings and bookmarks I have in the Chrome browser on my desktop are automatically available in the Chromebit Chrome browser.
