I bought these for my HP M254DW printer mainly because they claimed they had new chips in case the printer doesn't recognize the cartridges. So I thought I'd try these out. I installed the cartridges in my printer and in fact the printer gave me an error message saying the cartridge is not compatible. So I followed the instructions that came with the new chips and watched the video instructions. The process was very easy. I was very skeptical. However, when I installed cartridges with new chips, HP recognized them with no problem. I was surprised and delighted. I then did a print test and found that these cartridges print just as well or slightly better than the HP cartridges they replaced. If you are looking for a great aftermarket cartridge for your HP printer, this is a great choice!
