Our vacuum broke the plastic brackets that the brush roll sits on. The only way to fix it was to buy this part. You have to disassemble the entire machine and reassemble around this new base. Took me about 1.5 hours but I did spend time cleaning all the internal parts while I had it disassembled. Just pay attention to where all the springs are attached as it will be counterintuitive once you start putting everything back together.
