Cozy warm but not ant slip as advertised

I recently bought a pair of these boots, they are very warm and cozy, very comfortable, but they are not anti-slip. I hit black ice, almost fell, I realize that maybe it was the way I stepped down possibly, then got to work, and there was a little water on the floor by a counter, and I went for a ride, didn't fall but came close, So they aren't anti-slip but I will be keeping them for comfort, hopefully, they are better in the snow.

I do like them even if when I open up the bag they came in a few of the fluffy parts of the boots came off. I do like how they keep my feet warm and the grip they have. Only down fall is that I have big feet I am about a 8.5-9. The boots made my feet look bigger. :-/ Hopefully no one stares.
