Why pay $50 or more at the dealer

Update: The dealer valve lasted a year but we're pretty sure it's our fault. Yes, we drained the lines and left them open, but didn't make sure the RV antifreeze got into the fitting. So we used the replacement part we bought and it has been working fine for a year now. Apparently we didn't learn our lesson and discovered a small leak in the spare tire in Spring '21. We ordered 2 more so we have a new one and a new spare. This fall we will be more careful. We continue to be very happy with this product. Even if we mess it up again, it's still a quick cheap fix. That spring, on our first trip with our camper, that valve decided it had had enough of the MN winters and opened it. Since I wasn't home and needed a working toilet that didn't leak, I ran to a small local dealer who stocked it and the total price was $54.39 and was told it was a very common item on this model (our other two campers had a different toilet model) so I came home and did a bit of searching for a spare on board for future use and came across this unit. I rolled since the price was so low and it arrived today. I can't tell any difference between this and the dealer's. I'll update if I need to use it if it's very different. I thought I'd say something to save other travelers at least a few bucks when they're out and about.
