Prepare to swap it out within a few weeks of installation.

Remove the word "Heavy Duty" from the description of this part. Just a few weeks after installation, the water valve stopped working and water continued to flow into the toilet. I've heard that Dometic is notorious for such faulty parts and equipment, but unfortunately nobody else in the US makes toilets that fit the 2019 Jayco 5th Wheel. I guess I'll just keep buying new parts and keeping a terrible company in business.

Terrible and disappointed

Like it, easy install, didn't like it, constant problems, after the first week of installation I noticed that the clamps don't hold the flush valve firmly because the toilet doesn't fill with water without rinsing, as intended . installed a new bolt to tighten the pedal for proper activation which took 1 week. flushed the toilet today and the water doesn't turn off after releasing the pedal. Luckily I thought ahead and when I replaced the drain valve I also installed an on/off ball valve in the

Why pay $50 or more at the dealer

Update: The dealer valve lasted a year but we're pretty sure it's our fault. Yes, we drained the lines and left them open, but didn't make sure the RV antifreeze got into the fitting. So we used the replacement part we bought and it has been working fine for a year now. Apparently we didn't learn our lesson and discovered a small leak in the spare tire in Spring '21. We ordered 2 more so we have a new one and a new spare. This fall we will be more careful. We continue to be very happy with this

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • No work
