Review on 🎧 Enhance Your Audio Experience with the Plantronics HW251N SupraPlus Wideband Headset (64338-31) by Michael Zambrano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheaper than cheaper alternatives!

Best headset I've ever had. I use it every day and it outperforms all other headsets I've used. It replaced another headset I bought from Revain that had the same rating and was 1/3 the price but has nothing to compare - sound quality, noise cancellation, fit and comfort, build quality are all great - and as a bonus I can it Use it with my mobile phone or voip phone at work by buying the right adapter. After owning the predecessor for 2 months, I ordered it and revised the "old" one. The previous one was a replacement for another model that was also of poor quality. Even at 3 times the price of both I find this one cheaper than the cheap one as it has lasted longer. I had to do the math and order an adapter for a 3.5 mm jack separately, it would be nice if the list of goods included a kit or at least instructions for compatible adapters. When I buy something from amazon.com, I not only look at the star ratings, I also pay attention to how many stars each review has, and I always read multiple one-star reviews. I didn't see any "red flags" in reviews of the previous (now discarded) headset, so why these two can be rated so closely is a bit of a mystery. I think a lot of people who love me but don't love the other mustn't have bothered to give a bad review because it was so cheap (about $13). Just a guess. Plantronics makes a cheaper one that only works with a 3.5mm jack and it worked fine for me for a couple of years but I eventually wore it out. The fit and construction is better than the cheaper one but to be honest if you don't need other adapters I'm sure you'll be happy.

Pros
  • Simple, easy to wear - one ear stays open so others can speak
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other options
