We've had it a little over two years and used it less than a dozen times. We've always hand washed it carefully, taking care not to submerge it in water and to keep everything out of the water (although it's presumably waterproof). However, it just stopped working, even with new batteries, and it's probably due to rust. The battery compartment and the screws holding the case together have started to rust (see photo). When we contacted Kizen customer service they said it was an older version that is no longer manufactured and out of warranty. So my guess is that the "lifetime" warranty refers to the lifetime of the product version, which can change every few years. So much for their "smooth and hassle-free experience backed by our 100% LIFETIME GUARANTEE and 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" - what a joke! Avoid this company!
