This item is too handy but maybe a little more difficult to set up (using the manual!) The feeder is automatic and has manual options , so you don't just have to be tied to the feeding time you've programmed. So let's say you want to give your turtle some extra food. All you have to do is press "Feed" and the feeding from the tank will automatically rotate in the prescribed proportions. Another thing is that the feeding ratio setting is really good with its adjustable options. The management is terrible! I personally will never look up anything I asked about a feeder in the instructions that came with the kit because it is most likely wrong. Reason for being: The feeder can do "up to" four feedings and I only wanted one feeding so I checked the manual on how to cancel the feeding 2, 3 and 4 times so was told to do that Keep set until feeding time. You just need to specify all the feeding times for feedings one, two, three and four in the same way. And if you have two meals, set one feeding the same as feeding three and feeding two the same as feeding four and so on for three feedings and for three feedings, feed one at a time, feed two at a certain time, feed three Feeding times should correspond to feeding four times.
