We have a bad kitty who decides to be really bad when hungry. He likes to wake everyone up at about 3:30am because his tummy is rumbling. We set the timer so that it goes off once around 3 AM and again around 5 AM with just a tiny bit of food in each side. This has been a lifesaver. After some medical issues, one of my three cats needed to have wet food. He got addicted quick and started waking us up earlier and earlier until it was like 4:30am. I ordered one of these for each cat, all the lids pop open at the same time at 5am, and no one wakes us up for food. Huzzah!

This product is a real headscratcher. First off, it doesn't allow you to customize feeding times at all. It doesn't have a clock! All this product really is is a timer attached to a spring-loaded feeding dish. I'm not joking. Every time you fill the bowls, you have to wind the mechanism like an old-timey pocketwatch. I opted to buy this automatic feeder since my kitty gets wet and dry food mixed, so I needed it to have the ability to keep the food cold. Our dog has a medical condition that requires a pill be given one hour before meals every 12 hours. Maybe my animals are smarter than average (.I highly doubt that.) but my dog and both my cats figured out how to not only progress the tray to get more food, but also figured out how to pop the lid off so they can get 5 servings at once.Now they're extra fat when we were trying to help them with portion control.

This feeder has been a lifesaver. I work for an ambulance service and I live alone. I often work 24 or 36 hour shifts and this feeder keeps my kitty on a regular feeding schedule. It works really well. I haven't had any issues with it.

My cats are able to adjust the timers when they're "messing" with it, because they know there's food in there. So it never goes off at the right time. It needs something to prevent the timers from turning so easily, a cover perhaps.

This is spring wound with a digital clock that releases each section to rotate around like a clock. Works great, but has a lot of torque when it turns the feed disk. It might decapitate the cat if its got its face in the feeding area when it turns. But hey its a product that actually, works and you can always get another cat.

Timer was very inaccurate, tested multiple times and never worked on the time as expected (and not even in a given range. the timer was wildly inaccurate). This product would probably be fine for one pet who needs a mid day snack when timing doesn't really matter, but for those with multiple pets needing to be fed at a specific time, this is not your product.

Easy to set the time though not accurate to the minute. Close enough for my needs. The ice packs don't do much good because they are so thin and should be above the food. Still this works very well if I'm gone for many hours. For medical reasons I can only feed soft food and this keeps it from drying out between feedings. Does have a soft ticking sound but the cats don't mind it.

I have two auntimatic feeders, that are individual and they work well. Ordered the double and one side doesn’t work. I was in the middle of moving so they weren’t used right away. I have changed the battery, and still nothing.
