Very helpful on my review.

This is perfect for my 4 cats. I work long shifts so it gives them a snack midday. 2 of my cats are over eaters so I cannot just fill up their bowls so this manages portion size. Love it.

Pros
  • Ideal for pets with special dietary needs
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets with sensitive stomachs

It ticks all the time

The timer doesn’t seem to go off at the time I set it for. Close but not on time. Also when you’re not using it you must yank the batteries out to stop it from ticking. It would be nice if it would close without having to set the timer.

Pros
  • Keep Your Pet from Overeating: Your pet feeder each hold up to 1.5 cups dry or wet food. Be proactive with your pet’s nutrition without the stress.
Cons
  • Not suitable for pets with grazing habits

Great for what it does

I have used this many times for my older cat when I was not able to be home to feed her. Now she needs insulin so I don't use it anymore but it was great for her when it was needed. Even pet sitters were able to use it correctly when I left written instructions.

Pros
  • Programmable timer allows for flexible feeding times
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets who require frequent feeding

Not sturdy enough good for me

I don’t like to write bad reviews but I wanted to share for anyone in the same situation! We got an 8 week old German shepherd puppy who busted this feeder open after the 3rd use. I assumed it would be strong enough to stay shut but he somehow opened it! And he popped off the battery cover on the back, which I feel should have a screw rather than just the little plastic tab. I think this product would be great for calmer dogs or cats but my hungry, monster puppy found a way to bust into it!

Pros
  • Prevents pets from fighting over food
Cons
  • Cannot be adjusted to accommodate different sized pets

Just wish it had more cooling capabilities

Got this for my cats if we're going to be out overnight. I liked the idea of having the food cooled since I was using it for wet food. Unfortunately the cooling packets included are very small. I'm not sure how long they really keep the food fresh for. When it was really hot out I wondered if the food would stay good for very long. Due to the compartment size you really can't add any larger cooling packets. Seemed more often than not my cats didn't eat the food that was in there. Could be that…

Pros
  • Prevents overeating and obesity in your pet
Cons
  • May not dispense food evenly

A little confusing but works as intended

This is a really simple device but it works as intended. I used it while out of town for a few days and both sides opened and kitty ate everything in it. The only issue with it is that it’s basically using a clock motor to run, so it’s contantly ticking like a clock would. It’s also a little confusing at first which direction you set the timer in/which direction it counts down in, but with a quick test you can figure it out

Pros
  • Features a sleek and modern design
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets who eat quickly

Affordable and gets the job done

It's affordable(did not want to spend $70-100 for my dog's food bowl), and it works! I typically set the dial timer to 6 hours before leaving for work so that my dog can eat around 1PM. As I see the footage from my home monitoring camera, it seems to work every time. This is important for me as my dog sometimes throws up if he doesn't get fed for 6-9 hours depending on his condition. I feed my 55lb dog about 1-1.5 cups for each meal, which is about the max capacity for this container. I assume…

Pros
  • Reduces mess by eliminating the need for multiple bowls and containers
Cons
  • May cause the pet to overeat

Smart cat owners beware!

Well bought this hoping I would be able to feed our kitten on a timer so she wouldn't sit there meowing her little 'feed me' song at 4am. So while it worked for about a week, my little stinker then learned how to open it. I still have no clue how she did it but she's managed to get both sides open during the night for a few nights now. So it's a good idea but if you've got a smart cat beware!

Pros
  • July 15, 2019
Cons
  • Costly compared to other feeding options

Quick and easy: my feedback

It works well. So easy to set the simple timer anywhere from 1 hour to 48 hours. It's easier than setting up the big autofeeder for just a couple of meals. Glad we got it.

Pros
  • Offers a stress-free solution for busy families
Cons
  • May be difficult to troubleshoot if it malfunctions

Doesn’t work great, kinda cheaply made

Ended up returning it. It doesn’t ever stop ticking, its kind of cheaply made and both things don’t open at the same time even if you set the timer for the same time. If you wanted this for two cats, not worth it.

Pros
  • Energy-efficient and eco-friendly
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets who are sensitive to noise

No on/off switch - my new review

It works but it needs improvement. There is no on/off switch. The batteries just keeps running so if you’re only going to use this when you leave, say for a few hours, when you return if you’re not going to use it for a spell then you have to open the bottom and remove the battery. Real pain.

Pros
  • Great option for pet owners who travel frequently
Cons
  • May not dispense food in the correct order for some pets

Update to prior review.

I finally just let the timer sit to see how long and if they would open. They did but not even close to what I set. I think the thing to know is, don't plan on them popping when you need them. Test them first by the lines provided to see how long 1 mark takes. It's not a true hour. At least not on those I have. But, since this is my second review it seemed important to share that, they do work, just not like others I've owned. This applies to the 2 and the 1 slot Pawise feeders.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of digestive problems
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets who require fresh food

Low-Tech Automatic Feeder Gets the Job Done

This automatic pet feeder is inexpensive, simple and low-tech (which could be a pro or a con, depending on your needs). Each tray runs on a single AA battery. The timers make audible ticking sounds, even after they have opened the lids, as the timers continue to run as long as the batteries are inserted (even if you aren't actively using the timers). My elderly cat was not deterred in the least by the loud ticking and adapted quickly to getting a treat in the middle of the night (rather than…

Pros
  • Ideal for small pets who only require one meal per day
Cons
  • Does not provide automatic water dispensing

Completely worth the money, works like a charm!

This is a good size and roughly fits half of a small 3 ounce canned that I feed my cat in the morning and he doesn’t wake me up quite as early as he did but now he wakes me up around 530 out of confusion if I’m not awake already. Lifesaver and totally love it! Completely worth the money!

Pros
  • Works great. Unfortunately the dog caught on to the fact I was putting cat food in it.
Cons
  • Only one meal can be dispensed at a time

Revainrating 2 out of 5

My cat already turned it into a self-feeder. Bummer.

The reviews made me think that my cat might not be able to break into this, but he's already gotten one side to open right up despite there being time left on the timer. The cover with the numbers printed on the timer pops off as he opens the lid. This is now an unfortunate self-feeder for my cat, and it's currently unusable here. I will attempt to fix it.

Pros
  • Feeds your pet at the exact time you set, no waiting or delays
Cons
  • May clog easily if food is not the right consistency

Good concept and idea but does not work in reality

The feeder box is a good concept / idea but it is not practical and durable. The plastic material is fragile and breaks easily making it a choking hazard or gI obstruction for the dog if swallowed. I tried feeding from the tray to get my dog used to the new vessel he was ok with that then I put the tray of food inside and shut it to see how he does when the box owns and makes treats available…. What I realized was that my smart dog knew his fav treats were in the box and couldn’t wait patiently

Pros
  • Comes in a compact size that easily fits into any space
Cons
  • Cannot dispense treats or supplements

Wanted to like this, but the timer is inaccurate

Wasn’t going to work for us. We want a feeder that is somewhat accurate to feed our dog breakfast. It varied by almost a full hour. Returning.

Pros
  • Doesn't require daily attention, simply set up and go
Cons
  • Cannot be customized for different types of pets

Functional For a Few Days

The past few month have been awful with our cats. They will regularly wake us up at 4 in the morning to be fed and there is just no ignoring it. We did some browsing on amazon for an automatic timed feeder, and stumbled across this one. Honestly for $10, even with some of the not-so-great reviews, it was worth a shot.Ever since we’ve used it (4 days now) we have had a FULL nights rest and it seems to be working fine. I will follow up with an update in a few months, however, for $10, you just…

Pros
  • Easy Control: Dial up the countdown timer of hours till the time you want it to open. Requires (1) AA Battery (not included)
Cons
  • Not suitable for households with multiple pets

Love this!: my feedback

We have a cat who wakes up every night at 3:00AM to be fed (and if not fed, begins to cry incessantly until someone gets out of bed to do so). This feeder has been a life saver - kitty quickly learned that it pops open about the time he gets hungry (and we get much more sleep!). That said, the ice pack in the bottom is pretty thin. We set the timer for 5 hours and are comfortable knowing it keeps the wet food cold enough to be safe for him, but I probably wouldn't go too much longer than that…

Pros
  • Easy to use and set up
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets with chronic illnesses

Don't buy. No stars.

I dont write a lot of product reviews, but this was a total waste of money. If I can save 1 person from making the same mistake it would be worth it. The kids dont stay closed. I've tried putting the batteries in and then closing the kids. Nothing. I tried setting the timer. Nothing. I tried flipping it over and shoving a pin in that little hole. Nothing. Toi bad it's way after my return date.

Pros
  • Written above
Cons
  • Not compatible with wet food
