First let me say this is a great monitor. There are no glare issues here as I use it on a cage table and only the bedroom above me is lit. Colors are very rich and deep after playing with Macbook Calibration Utility for a few minutes. I'm very happy with my purchase, but the text may not be as clear as on a monitor with a smaller dot pitch, for example. The dot pitch of this monitor is 0.288mm, which is typical for monitors of this size. I'm very meticulous when it comes to monitors and this works for me and I'm a power user. Apple's 27-inch film monitor is also great (2400 x 1200), but this HP 25-inch monitor competes with a 1920 x 1080 screen for this quality. I can live with that since the Apple version costs 3 times as much. Be sure to adjust the contrast levels to get deeper blacks and sharper text. Works great with my 13" Macbook Pro. I wish I could give this monitor 4 1/2 stars. Enjoy!
