I love that these bags are green and because I use them a lot I don't feel bad about using shopping bags. Collect garage in trash can daily. Garbage is heavy so one big bag can only hold 4 full bags a day otherwise it will break when trying to put it in the outer bin on garbage day. Then I throw it in my collection bin for collection once a week. I put a large bag inside a paper bag in a plastic trash can in the garage, otherwise these bags lose their strength and burst. A large buffer for paper bags solved this problem. Filled with padding, these pouches absorb moisture from the bottom up—uncomfortable, but doable. If you're using something heavy like trash, don't leave it in the trash for more than a week or you risk tearing it trying to handle it. Dispose of these weekly at the garbage disposal. I'd like to increase the lifespan if I'm using it for something like junk. Haven't used it for other household waste yet. We have been using it for several years.
