Our cat has learned to remove collars no matter how hard we try. It wouldn't be a problem, except that in the three days we were trying to let him go "naked," he killed two little birds and caught (and lost) a third because they didn't hear the bell on his collar . This was our third trailer we tried and it's a WINNER! Our cat is larger (15 pounds and very strong) and will not fit any other harnesses. We put bells on the back D-ring and after initially resisting (and pretending he can't jump) he's now wearing it like a champ (and still jumping the fence to see his neighbor friend next door. It is a bit tight ) . under his arms, but it has to be, or he'll slip off. We saw him pull his leg out, but he couldn't get it out of his head. Since then no more birds have been harmed and we are all very happy.
