As advertised, these little devices can be thrown around to cover up odors or freshen up a musty room. The smell is a little overpowering at first, but after a day or two it starts to steadily dissipate until after about two weeks you hardly notice it unless you get close - not that you have to get close. it, but still. Be careful, . um, when you throw laundry in the machine, you don't accidentally throw a ball to kill odors. :-)
