Review on πŸ’¨ Efficient Cooling Solution: Holmes Window Fan with Twin 6-Inch Reversible Airflow Blades in White by Pamela Begay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good window fan with heating, cooling and air quality

I've had it for about 5 months and it's been great! My room is on the top floor and is about 12 feet by 10 feet. As it is upstairs and receives heat from the stove which is in the basement next to my room; heat rises from below; and the heat of the tiles on the roof can become unbearably hot. I leave the heater vent open a quarter and put this fan in the window when the temperature is low and the room reaches a comfortable temperature. It's a little noisy, but it works well. The temperature drops from 86*F to 75*F degrees F when the fan runs low in an open window. I have an unusually sized window. The available space for the width of the fan is only 20 inches. This fan was a little bigger than I wanted but I knew I had to modify it and I got the fan because all the fans I saw were bigger than my window. This fan was very easy to change to fit my window! The fan has a large 1-2 inch header that ironically you can attach an optional extension to. I CAREFULLY cut off the protrusion by scoring the plastic a couple of times with a utility knife. Cut yourself off trying my stupid utility knife method. I don't recommend it, I'm just using it as an example of how easy it was to modify it to fit a 20 inch space. I also use a retractable screen that I attached to the outside of the window with mounting tape and a few clips.
