Good functional product. My goal was to pour excess hot coffee from any beverage into a health conscious jar to avoid wasting the excess coffee and thus have a chilled supply of cold coffee. Since I drink iced coffee at work rather than using less healthy drinks at my workplace, this carafe is very helpful for me. Please note it is 12.5 inches with a lid so make sure your fridge will fit inside. The lower black part is actually a simple removable rubber support that makes cleaning easier. Finally, it's elegant and I doubt it will last long. an accidental side impact, say, on a stone countertop - but I'm just theorizing here. Just placed a second order for my wife who is actually interested in this as a brewing device. :)
