As a result, this tuner was returned with a refund. The internal dummy load has failed.
A switch or wiring error has caused the built-in 50 ohm dummy load to not work. Otherwise it was a well-built handheld tuner. In the end I settled on the FT-989Y autotuner. 989Y works fine with my FT-891.
