Review on Cordless drill/driver BLACK DECKER BDCDC18K by Mateusz Sujak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

The first thing that surprised me was that the case cannot be opened without first tearing off or cutting the sticker on the end lengthwise - see photo. Secondly, the case is made as if it were not from this screwdriver, none of the items in the package, including the screwdriver itself, are exactly included in the lodgments, but crookedly pushed in or simply hanging out, the instructions and passport are crumpled with bundles and thrust into the lodgment parallel to the tool) )). The screwdriver itself turned out to be much smaller than it seemed to me in the photo in the store, but this is more of a plus than a minus, because the declared torque and 18 V battery should do their job. The screwdriver itself looks pretty high quality, grip, rubberiness, ergonomics are not bad. However, there are also questions. 1st: the illumination of the working space is implemented at the base of the handle closer to the battery, therefore it shines in a rather wide spot - both in the direction of drilling and partly in the eyes))) 2nd in the mechanism for attaching the battery to the handle on the sides there are 2 springs inside: one securely rests with its free end against a plastic short limiter (see photo), which cannot be said about the second - its free end does not rest against a long limiter and remains actually free, being located almost parallel to it (see photo) - I don’t know, but if acc installed, of course, it will not go anywhere, but if it is removed, it can jump out during transportation or storage over time . This is actually my first impressions of the purchased gadget so far. If it shows itself, according to the characteristics - all this is forgiven at this price list. But I can say one thing - my 2022 Black Decker, which is larger and less powerful, is executed much more clearly, and still works, despite 17 years, 12 V and my own 17-year-old battery! I will supplement the review if this “newbie” of mine does not justify, as they say . In the meantime, 4 points in absentia, mainly for the bundle: brand-price-18 volts.

Pros
  • I got it at a ridiculous price - a little over 3,000, (very lucky, apparently), although back in 2022 (and in some places still) the price was more than 6,000, reaching up to 7,500. Powerful acc. with a voltage of 18V (a claim for a professional tool) with a universal ability to approach other el. tools of this line of this brand, good torque for a tool of medium and below average size.
Cons
  • A lot of oddities: from the case and the implementation of the backlight to the execution of the mechanism for attaching the battery to the handle, as well as the plastic chuck (sponges, though metal, of course). A simple and very long charge, but this is rather the norm for such a price (there is a quick charge, it can be purchased separately or with a more expensive bundle or with a more expensive tool). I add: it really charges, 3 chps - which is not so long with such a charger! For domestic use, 1 full charge lasts a very long time, if there is a lot of work - it's easy to charge in advance or have a second acc, which costs less than buying a quick 1-hour charge!
