Left is great for Extreme Helical
I just drew some arrows with the left spiral clamp yesterday. I also have a straight and a right screw clamp, but I have to say that the left clamp allowed me to adapt the most spiral shape to the fletching. This is because the Bitzenburger mount is designed for right-hand use. So when I used my right hand screw clamp, the reach was limited due to the front of the clamp rubbing against the bracket. The left spool clamp moves away from the jig and has much more room to move.
