Review on 🛠️ Stens Recoil Starter Assembly 150-811 for Stihl 4282 190 0300 - 1 unit by Mike Slippy

Quality control seems to be an issue. We bought maybe 8 of these but the last one broke the cord on the first pull and I had to pull it out and plug in a new cord. Then on the 2nd day another plastic spool broke. We've had good results with it until recently. The last batch doesn't seem to be as good as the previous ones. I hope they clear that up. But even Stihl's didn't last very long, and the problem with Stihl is that they don't sell parts online. Then wait 7-10 days for them to arrive (if they haven't been ordered for a month) then come back and collect them. This aftermarket starter usually works well and we can get it in half the time for half the price without wasting time driving to the dealer.
