Not having to constantly change the batteries in the wireless mouse was really an added convenience when using my laptop! In the past, when my battery-powered wireless mouse fell off the table, it fell apart easily when the batteries were removed. I also often had to change the batteries. Now all I had to do was plug this mouse into an outlet to charge it for the first time as advertised. I've been using the mouse without charging since I first charged it a few months ago.
